Iran stands firm as Middle East burns!

The Middle East is ablaze as Israeli and American rockets rain down on Iran and the Islamic Republic hits back with devastating missile attacks on Tel Aviv and American bases across the Persian Gulf. American bases and early-warning systems in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia have been knocked out. The Iranians have closed the Straits of Hormuz, the key artery for Gulf oil exports, to all but Russian and Chinese shipping and the north Yemenis have resumed their blockade against Israeli and Anglo-American shipping in the Red Sea. Hezbollah, the Lebanese resistance movement, has joined the fray hitting the port of Haifa and other military targets in northern Israel while a Sudanese general says volunteer brigades from his country are ready to join the Iranians on the front line should the USA and Israel launch ground operations against the Islamic Republic.

Members of the New Communist Party and International Ukraine Anti-Fascist Solidarity recently held an online meeting with Boris Litvinov, the Secretary of the Donetsk Region of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF). The meeting was also joined by Gedrius Gebrauskas, the general secretary of the Communist Party of Lithuania, who is currently living in exile in Moscow. We publish here a summary.
